Description:
Anti static mat rubber roll material provides professional quality electro-static discharge (ESD) protection on your work bench .
This 2 layer rubber lamination - with a top (blue colored side) static dissipative layer and a bottom (black side) conductive layer may be cut to any size to create custom anti static bench mats for computer technicians or electronic assembly and repair ESD work stations.
Compared to cheaper more rigid PVC anti static mats which like to stay curled, BT-W03 rubber mats are pliable, lay flat and conform, have a high tolerance of heat from solder irons, resistant to most solvents, and are much less prone to damage from mechanical impact.
To ground this mat material, users will need to install at least one (3/8" dia.) 10mm clinch snap near one corner on each mat, (or one snap at each 10 linear foot interval on longer continuous mats), and attach one end of a static mat ground cord to the installed snap and the other end of the cord to earth ground. (Snaps and ground cord not included).
ESD Mat is applied to workshops and advanced laboratories for microelectronic industries such as electronic semi-conduct devices, electronic computers, electronic communications equipment and integrated circuits etc.
ESD Mat are mainly made of antistatic(conductive) and static-dissipative materials, and synthetic rubber.
The uper layer of static dissipation is about thickness of 0.3-0.5mm .
The underlayer of electric conduction is about thickness of 1.5-1.7mm
